Do you work with Quickbooks?

Yes, I support Quickbooks Online (not Desktop) and I’m a Quickbooks Online Certified ProAdvisor. I’m also very familiar with many of the other online accounting systems, I just find Quickbooks the most robust.

What kind of clients do you work with?

Any small business who is looking to grow and is willing to learn about accounting. You can have any type of business – product, service, combo – in any field, but it’s most important that you’re passionate, honest, kind and growth-oriented. Admittedly, I have a soft spot for creative businesses!

Tell me about your experience.

Sure. I have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and have worked over 8 years in public accounting and private accounting, for small companies and big companies. I’m a two-time entrepreneur and found out I loved teaching during my metalsmithing days. I love sharing knowledge and chatting about business. You can learn more about me on my About page.

So you’re a CPA?

I was a CPA. I studied for and passed the exam in the state of California. It seems the CPA status is needed mostly in firms and to do taxes (more on taxes below), which is not where my path led me. So I’m a non-CPA with all the CPA knowledge.

Can you do my taxes for me?

I barely want to do my own taxes. I recommend you work with a certified tax accountant or CPA for your tax filing. I can, however, help get your books in top shape for your tax reporting, and I do know enough small biz tax facts to be dangerous.

I have a deadline coming up. Do you do rush work?

Sure do. I offer it at a premium rate, at $135/hour, and since I’m very thorough and know my stuff, I’m well worth it.
